Over past few months, there has been a debate going on the future of Huawei as a smartphone company after all the scenario related to its security issues. The founder and CEO of Huawei, Zhengfei smashed all the rumors about selling the company. He made his appearance first time after a year in order to tell the public that they are not selling the company. Zhengfei also stated his hope about doing business with US companies for telecommunication equipment and smartphone components. Moreover, he hopes for a turn around in the relationship between US and China.
Ren Zhengfei also told the media that he is looking forward to meet the American President, Joe Biden in order to explain him the benefits of bilateral trade between the American companies and Huawei. According to him:
“Allowing US companies to supply goods to Chinese customers is conducive to their own financial performance. If Huawei’s production capacity expanded, that would mean US companies could sell more. It’s a win-win situation.”
He added further:
I believe the new administration will weigh and balance these interests as they consider their policies. We still hope to be able to buy a lot of US components, parts, and machinery so that US companies can also develop with the Chinese economy.”
Additionally, the CEO of the company said that the company and its management do not have any sort of energy to be involved in this political whirlpool. Moreover, Zhengfei believes and is confident about the fact that Huawei’s 5G network development is one of the keys which will help all the smartphone players in moving forward.
