Babar Azam, who is only twenty-seven years old, has earned a name for himself in the cricket world thanks to his incredible achievements in the ICC World Cup and PSL. In all formats, he is the captain of the Pakistan National Cricket Team. While many people are familiar with his cricket career, his followers know relatively little about his personal life. He was born in Lahore, Pakistan, and is a cousin of renowned cricketers Kamran and Umar Akmal.
Kiswah, or the the “Ghilaf-e-Kaaba” takes place every year before Eid-ul-Adha. The rest of the year is spent putting together the new Ghilaf. Babar Azam was given the opportunity to work on the new Ghilaf-e-Kaaba this year.
The captain of the Pakistan cricket team made a video about his time working on the new Ghilaf. This was part of his Umrah journey in Ramadan.
Kiswah – The blessed Ghilaafe Ka’aba!
Grateful to Allah SWT for this great honour & opportunity. In sha Allah, this will be part of Next Kiswah on the beloved Ka’aba Shareef. 🕋#DiyaareNabawaiMe #Alhumdulillah pic.twitter.com/zMMkXqJkW2
