The former captain said on her Twitter post “I am delighted to announce that I am entering a new chapter in my life as motherhood beckons”. She added more “I would like to wish the Pakistan women’s team the very best as I take an indefinite break from cricket. Request for prayers and support. Thank you,”

The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) gives best wishes to the former captain of the Pakistan women’s cricket team. The PCB replied to Bisma Maroof’s tweet “Congratulations Bismah! We wish you and your family the very best as you enter this new phase of your life”.

The 29 years old captain played 108 ODI (one-day internationals) and 108 T20Is (t20 internationals) from Pakistan. She was the first woman who scored 1000 runs from Pakistan.
