The Zil Hajj 1443 Hijri crescent has not been seen anywhere in Pakistan, hence the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee decided on Wednesday that Pakistan will observe Eidul Adha on July 10 (Sunday). This indicates that on Friday, the following Islamic month will begin (1st July).

The meeting in Karachi was presided over by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, chairman of the committee. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Met Office, SUPARCO, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. At their various offices in Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar, the Zonal Committees also hold meetings.
