It is commonly believed that riding a bike is one of the most cost-effective ways to travel a city. Unfortunately, motorcycle manufacturers in Pakistan — particularly Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda — make it a habit to raise the prices of their products once every month or two.
Atlas Honda announced seven modest bike price increases in 2022, which added up to a total price rise of up to Rs. 80,400 for this year.

Bikes have also grown too expensive for the vast majority of prospective purchasers to purchase at their current costs. Other local manufacturers of bicycles may still be a possibility in terms of pricing, but they come with their own set of disadvantages, including inadequate after-sales support, problems with construction quality, and unreliable performance.
According to reports from the industry, Pakistan’s bike manufacturing industry has achieved up to 90 percent localisation. Unfortunately, this localization is not beneficial for the people as long as they continue to be required to pay exorbitant prices for stripped-down bicycles.
It should come as no surprise that none of the newly released bicycles offer decent value given their current costs and dated manufacturing standards.
