Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, married in a tiny ceremony in Birmingham on Tuesday, the education campaigner announced on Twitter.
“Today marks a great day in my life,” the education campaigner posted on the microblogging platform. Asser and I exchanged vows to be life mates. We had a tiny nikkah ceremony with our families at home in Birmingham.
Malala also shared four images from her nikkah ceremony, in which she was photographed with her newlywed husband, Asser, and her parents, Ziauddin and Toor Pekai Yousafzai.
Today marks a precious day in my life.
