The use of microalgae technology to remove carbon dioxide was the winning idea presented by Pakistani microbiologist Dr. Wasim Sajjad in the Global Idea Market Competition.
The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) assistant professor gave a presentation to the Future Earth and Belmont Forum in order to share his scientific study work.

The researcher claimed that Belmont Forum and Future Earth work to reduce chemical use and encourage the use of more recycled organic materials. He stated that there are already clear signs of the effects of global warming and that these effects would only worsen over the ensuing decades.
According to Dr. Sajjad, the world’s reliance on fossil fuels is the primary cause of more than half of all greenhouse emissions.
He presented his findings at the Idea Market Competition for Carbon Eradication SRI 2022, an annual event hosted by a coalition of international organizations and attended by scientists and researchers from all around the world.
