The Prime Minister will be the Chief Guest at the launch ceremony of the Green Eurobond issued by the Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA).
According to reports, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib informed about the issuing of Eurobonds in a message on the social networking website.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will formally introduce Pakistan’s first Green Euro (Indus Bond) today, according to Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib.
He stated that proposals of roughly $3 billion were made against a $500 million requirement.
Green Eurobonds’ unprecedented acceptability in the global financial market has opened up new options for Pakistan to fund important projects.
The Prime Minister’s House will host the launch of Green EuroBonds today, with Prime Minister Imran Khan speaking at the event.

Green Eurobonds:
WAPDA has issued a Green Euro (Indus Bond) on the London Stock Exchange this week.
For the Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams, a green Euro (Indus Bond) has been issued.
WAPDA’s secure financial situation was used to issue the Green Eurobond, rather than a government guarantee.
