ISLAMABAD – On August 1st, petroleum prices are set to increase by Rs10 to Rs17 per liter.
The rise has been estimated due to the erratic exchange rate.
A price increase of Rs10 for fuel and Rs16-17 for diesel has been projected without the petroleum levy (PL).
Moreover, if the government increases the petroleum duty by Rs5 per liter on petrol, Mogas prices are expected to reach Rs15 per liter and diesel prices will reach Rs23 per liter.
A boost in dealers’ margins (DMs) on POL prices by Rs2.10 per liter on petrol and Rs2.87 per liter on diesel to Rs7 per liter was approved on Thursday by the ECC in this city.
Moreover, if the federal cabinet approves this proposal over the next two days, the rise in dealers’ margins will go into effect on August 1, 2022.
