Tuesday marks the start of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s two-day official trip to Qatar, which aims to transform the two countries’ longstanding bilateral ties into a solid strategic partnership. The Prime Minister will meet in-depth with the Qatari government during the visit, which is being made at Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s invitation.
The prime minister wrote in a series of tweets: “Leaving for Qatar today at the invitation of my brother HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. The visit will renew the bond of brotherhood & friendship between our two countries”.

During his meetings with market and business leaders in Qatar, PM Shehbaz will also discuss the attractive investment potential Pakistan’s diverse industries, including renewable energy, food security, the development of its industrial and infrastructure, tourism, and hospitality, have to offer.
