Shoaib Akhtar, a legendary player in Pakistan’s cricket, has departed for Saudi Arabia as a state guest of the country to do the Hajj. The Rawalpindi Express shared photos of himself in Ahram and shared the exciting news on his official Twitter and Instagram accounts.
He wrote on His instagram post “Alhamdolillah going for honorary Hajj as the state guest of Saudi Arabia. I will also be addressing the Hajj Conference attended by leaders of the Muslim world in Makkah”.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and everyone who has the means must perform it at least once in their lifetime. Prior to the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020, Saudi authorities stated they would only permit 1,000 pilgrims to participate.
