The recent bill that has been presented in the Assembly regarding marriage is the talk of the town. The public has divided opinion between the Bill. It’s not only the public that is divided between the Bill, but the government officials have varied opinions too.
Bakhtawar Bhutto, who is not only the daughter of the ex-President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari but an active member of PPP, has shared a Tweet concerning the Bill. Bakhtawar Bhutto took to her Twitter account and retweeted a tweet containing the Bill. That tweet has a picture of that Bill with the subject matter saying The Sindh Compulsory Marriage Act, 2021.
The picture showed that the Bill was signed by Syed Abdul Rasheed, a member of the Sindh Provincial Assembly. He belongs to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan. The tweet said: “Just to clarify: The Sindh Compulsory Marriage Act was introduced by Jamaat e Islami(JI) MPA, not Sindh Govt.
