Farhad Humayun, the founder and drummer of the legendary Pakistani band Overload, died on Tuesday after a musical career spanning two decades.
The band’s official Facebook page revealed the news.
They said “The magnificent Farhad Humayun left us for the stars this morning. Stoic in the face of challenges, uncompromising in his values, generous to a fault, witty as hell! Fadi was far too ahead of his time, both in spirit and art,”
The cause of Humayun’s death was not mentioned in the article, but the artist, who was in his 40s at the time, announced in 2018 that he had a brain tumour that was being treated by the “world’s top surgeon.”
