The telefilm Hangor S131, based on the Pakistan Navy’s submarine, is slated to be released by iDream Entertainment. It appears to be a nod to Pakistan’s naval forces. ARY Digital has made a daring attempt with a telefilm based on genuine events from the 1971 Pakistan-India conflict on such an important issue. It is a powerful testament to our submariners’ extraordinary bravery.
On the golden anniversary of the day intrepid Pakistan Navy submariners aboard submarine Hangor successfully sunk an Indian navy warship INS Khukri and crippled the second destroyer INS Kirpan during the 1971 war, the epic trailer for the much-anticipated telefilm Hangor was unveiled. Check out the clip, which features Zahid Ahmed, Saba Qamar, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, Affan Waheed, Haris Waheed, Javed Sheikh, Shehzad Sheikh, and Nayyar Ejaz among others.
The men in the telefilm are dressed all in white and exude the charisma and power of a naval officer. With images of the huge sea, submerged submarines, and downpour, it is written by Saji Gul and directed by Saqib Khan, and the directing and production seem excellent.
