Turkey’s state-run charity organisation has constructed a hospital centre in Pakistan for infants born with cleft lip and palate.

Ibrahim Katirci, the coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Haji Muhammad Hanif Tayyab, the charity’s founder, and provincial governor Imran Ismail officially opened the facility. The centre would execute up to 1,000 surgeries per year, according to a statement from TIKA.
