The new feature is essentially a web browser extension that will detect whether hackers have tampered with the code of the WhatsApp online version being used by its users. It was made possible via a partnership with cloud flare.
When Code Verify successfully validates that your web version has not been tampered with, it means that your version has not been tampered with by a malicious actor.
When a user logs in to WhatsApp through the web after installing the extension, the additional security feature will be activated immediately.
